Modest Couture
FAQs
Modest couture applies occasion-wear construction to a covered silhouette: lined fabrics, structured tailoring, hand-finished embellishment and floor-length cuts. Everyday modest wear prioritises comfort and simplicity. Shaira's Modest Couture pieces are built for weddings, formal dinners and Eid gatherings rather than daily dressing.
Yes. Pieces in the Modest Couture collection are lined so they remain opaque in daylight and under event lighting. Where a design uses a deliberately sheer overlay, such as organza over crepe, the base layer beneath it provides the coverage, and this is described on the product page.
Modest Couture styles are cut with long or three-quarter sleeves and higher necklines, including round, boat and closed collar shapes. Cape layers and jacket overlays offer added coverage across the shoulder and arm. Each product page lists the sleeve length and neckline for that style.
Yes. Shaira's Modest Couture range runs from XS to 3XL. Loose silhouettes such as kaftans, jalabiyas and cape dresses are cut generously and suit a wider range of body shapes. Measurements for each size are listed on the size guide.
